HANDICAP GURU: Trying to handicap a scramble?
A scramble team should be handicapped as follows: Take 20 percent of the A player's
handicap, plus 15 percent of the B's, 10 percent of the C's, and 5 percent of the D's.
Add the results, round off the total to a whole number, and that's the team's handicap. For scoring, subtract the team handicap from
the team's scramble score to determine its net score. The net scores will "compress" the results and make for a closer competition.
